Revised timetable for consideration of the Safe Nurse Staffing
Levels (Wales) Bill
1. On 1 December 2014, the Business Committee laid a report, in accordance with Standing Order 26.7, setting out a deadline of 10 April 2015 for the Health and Social Care Committee to consider and report on the general principles of the Safe Nurse Staffing Levels (Wales) Bill and a deadline of 5 June to complete Stage 2 proceedings.
2. On 3 March 2015, in response to request from the Health and Social Care Committee, the Business Committee agreed to lay a revised timetable, amending the deadline for the Committee to report on the general principles of the Bill to 8 May 2015 and amending the deadline to complete Stage 2 proceedings to 17 July 2015.
3. The
General Principles of the Bill were agreed in Plenary on 3 June
2015, but the Financial Resolution motion is yet to be tabled. As a
result, on 14 July 2015, in response to a further request from the
Health and Social Care Committee, the Business Committee agreed to
lay a revised timetable amending the deadline to complete Stage 2
proceedings to 11 December 2015.
